Buildpic: The buildpic is nicely OTAish. The unit seems to be in a somewhat action-oriented pose. My only main annoyance is that it seems to be just a tad too dark. [4 for unit, 3 for background, 2.5 for merging]

Buildpic: 9.5

Model: The model looks nice to me. It seems a little out of place place amongst the rest of the Arm tanks as it is more curved than they, but it's not a major eyesore. I could not find any hidden faces. Excellent job. [3.5] Texturing looks good to me. Even CD:3D is present, surprisingly. I wonder though, why do the treads only make up 1/3 of the side things? It looks wierd to me, having this small tread in the middle pushing this big metal part forward while pulling an equally big one behind it. [4.5] The corpse is provided and nicely wrecked. Again, I could not find any hidden faces. There were some holes in the model but they cannot be noticed in-game because the unit is fairly small. [1]

Model: 9

Script: Nothing fancy here. Move along.

Script: Not counted

BalanceThe unit costs about the same as a Podger, which is known as utterly useless, but it is the most exensive level 1 Arm vehicle. Compared to the Phalanx, its level 2 cousin, it costs about 1/5th the metal and 1/10th the energy. For that, it gets a 15% increase in armor, a little under half the damage/second on only 80% of the range and a 45% increase in speed. This thing's fast moving, acurrate projectile will absolutely shred incoming aircraft. The fighters are able to dodge it to an extent, but con airs and bombers don't have a chance, as while they cost only about half the same as this little guy, their buildtimes are 4 to 5 times higher. This, coupled with a Samson or two, will completely obliterate any early-game air rushes, and it's cheap enough to still be viable later on if you get several of them together.
This unit certainly needs a massive chunk of armor lost, as well part of either the range or the damage. Right now, it renders the Phalanx almost obsolete.

Balance: 2

My score: I'm not a great fan of the unit's design. The model looks wierd compared to the rest of the Arm units, and the whole concept of a level 1 flak unit kinda annoys me. I do love the name though. Kudos to whoever came up with that.

My score: 4

Total score: 5.6
